Kindergarten
KG 1 and KG 2
These two years are the most formative years in the education of a child not just from the point of view of academics but in the building up of the whole personality. Our education programme is child centric using activity and play-based methods for learning. Singing, story telling, personal-discovery activities, group-discovery activities, number manipulations, jumping and running learning games, the exploration of patterns, and finger painting are some of the activities children are involved in.
Since children at this stage develop concepts through direct interactions with the environment, a thematic approach wherein various activities are developed around themes relevant to the immediate environment of the children are used to develop concepts.
In Kindergarten 1, the emphasis is on the development of listening and speaking skills. A systematic approach through linguistic techniques are used to suit the child's understanding and temperament, correlating the phonic and the look and say method of teaching skills. Reading and writing skills gain focus in Kindergarten 2.

Primary School and Middle School
Grades 1 to 4 and Grades 5 to 8
At the primary level the students are encouraged to develop an inquisitive mind and explore the world around them through activity-based learning. They are encouraged to question, explore, apply and test what they know and can do. They are also encouraged to develop their ideas and language as they begin to assimilate the knowledge and skills that they will build on throughout their lives.
The importance of global communication in modern times brings the learning of different languages into greater significance at this stage. Foundations in Reading, Creative Writing, Science and Mathematics are established and strengthened in a caring and stimulating environment, wherein the learning process is made positive and more meaningful.
The activity-oriented education of the
Primary School is carried forward into the Middle School through project-work. The enquiring minds of the students in the Middle School are often challenged with creative projects to be submitted in different subjects. The role of a teacher gradually merges into that of a guide and facilitator as challenging tasks are set for different ability groups.
The education programme aims to produce confident and competent learners, who are able to communicate effectively. Our teachers encourage group interactions such as developing learning communities, stimulating student/faculty discussions, and encouraging electronic exchanges. Opportunities are also sought beyond the classroom to broaden the experience and learning of each child through visits and field trips.
